Ease of use

Insurer2000 is very ease of use (consistency and simplicity having been key design constraints throughout its development). For example, to simplify the system and reduce the learning curve for new users, the same forms are used both for data entry and for browsing. Similarly, all forms can be displayed either in "form view" (showing the full details of a single record) or in "datasheet view" (showing a tabular list of many records).

Insurer2000 provides all of the graphical user interface features you would expect to find in a well-designed windows-based application (e.g. menus, tool bars, scrolling windows, pull-down lists, etc?), but also consistently provides a number of intuitive additional facilities, such as counts of related information. For example, the policy form shows a count of related debit (and credit) notes. Double-click on the count and those debit notes are automatically selected and displayed in the debit note form (ready for browsing, amendment, deletion, etc?). Likewise, double-click on the name of the assured on the policy form and that assured is displayed in the contact form, with full contact details, and its own counts (e.g. number of policies, debit notes, etc?). Even more powerfully, these intuitive automatic selections (in combination with other selection methods if required) can be cascaded from one form to another, and/or used as the basis of analysis reports.

Document production

Insurer2000 provides easily extensible (template-based) automated document production facilities, helping you to produce complete, consistent and attractive customer documentation as quickly and easily as possible. For example, it automatically compiles a library of policy conditions and clauses that are then invoked as you enter subsequent data, reducing typing to a minimum. But also, because all of the information you enter is stored in a powerful relational database, you can search for and retrieve information (and analyse and report on it) with the utmost ease and efficiency.

Multi-currency

Insurer2000 supports full multi-currency operation. Premium and claims amounts can be recorded, invoiced and settled in any currency. They can subsequently be analysed in either the same currency or a different one. Amounts will be converted automatically where necessary (by triangulation via any currency you require, including the Euro) using the exchange rates you specify.

Double-entry accounting

Insurer2000 automatically generates full double-entry accounting information (ledger entries) from your insurance premium and claims information as it is entered (and maintains it in parallel, tracking any changes), so that both underwriting and accounting analysis can be meaningfully performed at any time.

Integration
